Structure and mode of operation

3.1 Measuring body

The transducers allow the force measuring device itself, as well as its ma­
chine frame, to be tested under load. The transducers are equipped with four
SG full bridges, attached at the circumference of the measuring body and
each offset by 90

This makes it possible to determine the extent to which the machine frame
and the force application parts allow perfect axial stressing of a properly
mounted test specimen.

3.2 Disturbance variables

Torsion and lateral load are disturbance variables and therefore to be avoided.
Changes in ambient pressure act as additive or subtractive forces. Compared
to high nominal loads, these are hardly crucial.
