System description of the BMD CANopen
2.1 Device properties
The BMD CANopen microwave positioning sensor offers
the ability to configure in a CANopen network:
– Configuring the Communication Profile
CiA DS 301 V4.2.0 (see Tab. 5-1 starting page 16)
– Configuring the Encoder Profile CiA DS 406 V3.2.0
(see Tab. 5-2 on page 18)
– Configuring the BMD CANopen Profile (see Tab. 5-3
on page 19)
CANopen communication parameters:
– Mapping and sending PDOs
– Setting the heartbeat
Configurable BMD parameters:
– Setting the null point
CANopen bus parameters:
– Setting the transmission rate
– Setting the node number (node ID)
2.2 Node identification
The sensor is operated in a CANopen network. In the
CANopen network it appears with the assigned node ID.
The sensor can be uniquely identified using the following
parameters:

0x1018:3 Revision Number

0x2600 Manufacturer Name
