Message Text, Cause and Corrective Actions
Shutter does not close
Shutter does not open
008.1 – 008.2: In this case the system queries for shutter position
and for the time required for opening/closing the shutter.
– No compressed air.
– Pressure too low.
– Air throttle of pneumatic cylinder closed.
– Shutter jammed.
• Close door.
• Check compressed air connections.
• Adjust pressure to correct setting: min.4 bar, max. 6 bar.
• To open closed air throttle, turn counterclockwise approx. 7 turns.
Correct setting if error message is repeated.
• Open drawer and check if parts positioned within shutter motion
range cause jamming. Remove part.
Shutter left end position
The shutter has briefly moved out of the end position during the
current exposure.
– Defective solenoid valve or defective control electronics in the
solenoid valve plug (holding current reduction).
• Replace solenoid valve and cable with plug.
Lamp voltage too low
This error is displayed if the mains voltage is interrupted during
normal operation, causing the bulb to go out.
• Close drawer.
• Check that the XS 4 cable connection is secure.
Lamp voltage too high (glow discharge?)
This error is indicated when the bulb goes out during normal
operation, but full mains voltage is present. The cause may be
voltage fluctuations or a worn bulb. Fe-doped bulbs are more
sensitive to this than the other types.
• Ensure that the input voltage is stable.
• Check bulb and replace if necessary.
Lamp does not ignite
This error is displayed when
– no bulb is installed, or the drawer is open,
– the bulb has considerably exceeded its service life, or
– the burner is still too hot from previous use.
• Install a bulb or replace it with a new one.
• Let the bulb cool down (approx. 5 min.) and then ignite it again.
• Check whether the drawer is closed properly. Otherwise the
internal power supply of the bulb is not connected.
• Check the cable connection between the lamp house (XS 3) and
controller (XS 3).
• Check the cable connection between the lamp house (XS 4) and
controller (XS 4).
