4 Installation
Advanced Settings:
- Automatic ignition after power on:
After switching on the mains switch
and booting up the system, an
attempt is automatically made to
igníte the lamp immediately.
- Exposure start when closing the
door:
Only with the chamber version and
only in time mode, the exposure is
started automatically when the
chamber door is closed. This
eliminates the need for a special
cable between the chamber and the
foot switch connection.
The prerequisite for both functions is, of course, that no error is present.
- Heat-up time for 1000 W exposure:
The factory-set waiting time of 5 s can be changed in the range 0-10 s.
Notice!
The iron-doped bulb reverts to the pure mercury spectrum at 500 W. Only after approx.
5 s at 1000 W it reaches the full iron spectrum. Operation at 500 W or with shortened
heating time is therefore not recommended!
Functions of the XS1/XS2 inputs:
In the chamber version, two digital
inputs are available at connection
XS 1, in the tunnel version, two more
at connection XS 2.
The function of each input can be
configured via the software:
No function, start exposure, quit
errors, ignite lamp, switch lamp off
and cool down.
Notice!
Remember what you set here!
Otherwise, the UVALOC could
behave unexpected.
If a setting has been changed, the pin number is highlighted in bold.
• Tap on this symbol and confirm the security dialogue to apply the changes.
Exit the menu to discard the changes.
I/O Diagnostics:
This menu is particularly useful for the
tunnel version. Here, the states of the
digital inputs and outputs are shown.
Only when the lamp is not ignited,
you can switch the relay outputs for
the XS2/PLC interface on and off
manually by tapping S1-S5, e. g. to
check the wiring.
Otherwise, the outputs are controlled
by the PLC.
