d) Connecting the drive battery
Make sure the transmitter is switched on before connect-
ing the drive battery to the model's on-board electronics.
Then insert the drive battery plug (1) into the model's elec-
tronics module (2). To do this, use the matching connector
with retaining clip (3) on the electronics module (the same
can be found on the plug-in charger).
Important:
Then push the battery cable (4) with the con-
nector forwards between the two motors so that
the cables cannot come into contact with the
rotating drive parts.
Then put the canopy back on and lock it.
Although the model boat is now ready for use, it
does not yet respond to the transmitter's control
commands due to the built-in protective circuit.
e) Notes on protective circuit
The model has a safety function that prevents dry running of the motors.
The motors only start when the two sensors (1) on the
bottom of the hull are in the water and an electric contact
resistance is measured.
Therefore, put the ready-to-use model boat in the water to
check its control functions.
Once the sensors are in the water, the receiver is digitally
linked to the transmitter. The model responds to the con-
trol commands from the transmitter only after it has been
linked to it.
If linked successfully, the transmitter LED indicator glows
steadily.
The model boat is now ready to use.
