d) Inserting and connecting the drive battery

• Stick the included hook and loop fastener (1) in the mid-
dle of one side of the drive battery (2). This prevents the
drive battery from slipping in the battery compartment.
• Open the cover on the top of the model boat (see figure
in section 7, no. 2) by pressing the push button (section
7, no. 3). Lift the cover upwards to remove it.
• Open the hook and loop fastener (3). Then insert the
drive battery in the middle (the hook and loop fastener
attached before points downwards and prevents the
drive battery from slipping during operation).
• Fix the drive battery with the hook and loop fastener (3).
• Switch off the model boat using the on/off switch (4)
(switch position "OFF" = switched off).
• Insert the angled plug of the drive battery into the "BAT-
TERY" socket (5).
• Use the "LED" slide switch (6) to determine whether the
position LEDs at the front and rear of the model boat
light up (switch position "ON") or not ("OFF") after it has
been switched on.
The LEDs help identify the model boat's orientation or
direction of travel in the twilight or in the dark.
• The "OUTPUT" connection (7) has a rubber stopper and
is used to supply power to optional accessories.
The other 5 connectors shown in the figure
must be left plugged in (do not pull out). They
lead to the left and right motors and to the front
and rear position LEDs as well as to the feed
flap drive.
