15. Troubleshooting

This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. The following section shows you how to troubleshoot potential problems.
Problem
The transmitter does not respond and
the LED remains dark.
The transmitter LED flashes.
The model does not respond to the
remote control.
Motors do not run.
Travel time is too short.
The model does not travel straight.
The model vibrates with running
motors.
Solution
• Check the transmitter battery.
• Check the polarity of the battery in the transmitter.
• Check the function switch.
• Replace the transmitter battery.
• Repeat the power on procedure.
• Put the model boat in the water.
• The model boat only responds to the transmitter when afloat (protec-
tive circuit, see section 10. e).
• Repeat the power on procedure.
• Check the drive battery and connectors.
• There is interference from other 2.4 GHz remote controls.
• The model boat only responds to the transmitter when afloat (protec-
tive circuit, see section 10. e).
• Check the drive battery charge status.
• Check if the drive shafts run smoothly.
• Repeat the power on procedure.
• Fully charge the drive battery.
• Check the charger for functionality.
• Replace the drive battery.
• Check the ease of movement of the drive motors.
• Check if the drive shafts run smoothly.
• Check the condition of the propellers.
• Check the condition of the propellers.
• Check the condition of the drive shafts.
• Check the fan blades of the motor cooling.
