Electrical wiring

• Electrical connection should be directed at the specific mains circuit by qualified personnel, according
to the installation manual. Electric shock and fire may occur, if the capacity of the power supply is not
sufficient.
• While arranging the wiring layout, specified cables should be used as the mains line, in accordance to
the local regulations on wiring. Connecting and fastening should be performed accurately, so as to avoid
external force of the cables from transmitting to the terminals. Improper connection or fastening may lead
to electric shocks or fire accidents.
• Grounding connection should be as per instructions. Inappropriate grounding may cause electrical shocks.
Do not connect the grounding line to the gas pipe, water pipe, lightening rod or the telephone line.
• Only copper wires should be used. Breaker for electric leakage should be in place, or electric shock may
occur.
• The wiring of the mains line is of Y type. The power plug L should be connected to the live wire and plug
N should be connected to the null wire while should be connected to the ground wire. For auxiliary
electrically heating function, the live wire and the null wire should not be connected inappropriately, or
the surface of the electrical heating body will be conduct electricity. If the power line is damaged, do get it
replaced by a professional manufacturer or by the service centre.
• The power line of connection kits should be arranged as per the installation instructions in the connection
kits.
• The electrical wiring should not be in contact with the high-temperature sections of the tubing, so as to
avoid the insulating layer of the cables from melting, thus avoiding accidents.
• After connecting to the terminal tier, the tubing should be curved into a U-type elbow and fastened using
the pressing clip.
• Controller wiring and refrigerant tubing can be arranged and fixed together.
• The machine can't be powered on before completion of the electrical operation. Maintenance actiVitees
should be performed only while the power is shut down.
• Seal the thread hole using heat insulating materials, so as to avoid condensation.
• Signal line and power line are independent and therefore cannot share one line. [Note: the power line and
the signal line are provided by the users. Parameters for power lines are: 3×(1.0-1.5) mm2; parameters for
signal line: 2×(0.75-1.25) mm2( shielded line)]
• Connection kits and outdoor units should be connected to the power source separately. All the connection
kits must share one single electrical source, but its capacity and specifications should be appropriately
calculated. Indoor and outdoor units should be equipped with a power leakage breaker and the overflow
breaker.
• Connection kit can be installed in multiples, and can be referred to as unit A and unit B. Pay attention to
the marks on the terminal block when connecting the outdoor unit to the indoor unit. Refer to the wiring
example described in section 5-2, so as to ensure a correct connection. Do note that the operation will be
abnormal when the wiring and the tubing between the indoor and outdoor machine sets are installed in
different refrigerant systems.
• Powering on is not advised before the connection kit is completely installed and that outdoor and indoor
installation is also completed.
