There is a metal filter behind the water connection adapter in order to filter larger particles
in the water.
Important
Do not leave the machine switched on when not in use.
Make sure to close the lock valve of the water connection and to switch off the main
switch or to disconnect the power plug when the machine is not in use. This way you
ensure that the boiler is not over filled.
Important
Make sure that the machine is placed on a water resistant surface.

Machine in use with a water tank

The boiler is filled by the pump if the machine is used with the water tank.
When using the machine with a water tank, please turn the valve towards the opposite side of the water
supply adapter opening

Please make sure that only your authorized Profitec-dealer connects the machine
to the water mains and installs the pressure regulator.

Proper instructions by your dealer how to the use of the PRO 800 is imperative.
•
To avoid calcification of the machine, a water-softener is recommended. Regarding a
water connection, please contact your specialised service dealer.
Residual water
The residual water is disposed off periodically by emptying out the water drip tray. Alternatively, you can
hook the machine directly up to a water drainage. Please proceed as follows: Remove the sealing screw in
the drip tray and fasten the drainage container to the rim below the drip tray. Connect a suitable hose (not
included with delivery) to the drip tray and to an already installed drainage syphon.

FIRST USE

Read the instruction manual carefully prior to operating the machine.
Prior to starting the machine, check if:
• the steam and hot water valves are closed.
• the machine is switched off. (Power switch in the vertical position.)
• the power cord is disconnected.
• the drip tray is inserted accurately.
Now you can start up your machine:

1 Lift the cup warming tray.
2 Take out the water tank and rinse it thoroughly.
