4.1 Preparation for installation

• Place the machine on an even and stable surface.
• Never place the machine on hot surfaces.
• Place the machine on a water-proof surface, as the machine may at some point leak
water.

4.2 Electrical connection

• Make sure that the local main voltage supply corresponds to the information given on
the type plate on the front panel of the espresso machine.
• Plug the machine into a grounded socket only and do not leave it unattended.
• Do not roll or bend the power cord.
• Do not use an extension cord/ do not use a multiple socket bar / multi socket power
cord.

4.3 Water supply connection

Important!
Make sure that the fixed water connection of the machine is hooked up to a potable water
supply with an operational pressure of 2 bar (0,2 MPa) to 3 bar (0,3 MPa).
Please note that the pressure of the water supply may not always be consistent. As soon
as 3 bar (0,3 MPa) of pressure are occasionally exceeded, install a pressure reducer.
4.3.1

Machine in use with a direct water connection

The boiler is filled by the line pressure, if you are using the Pro 800 with a fixed water connection. The
pump is not activated when using a fixed water connection.
Make sure that the fixed water connection of the machine is hooked up to a potable water supply with an
operational pressure of 2 bar (0,2 MPa) to 3 bar (0,3 MPa). Please note that the pressure of the water
supply may not always be consistent. As soon as 3 bar (0,3 MPa). of pressure are occasionally exceeded,
install a pressure reducer.

Always use the hose supplied with the machine to connect the machine to the water supply system,
even if an old hose is already present.
When using the machine with direct water supply, the valve has to be turned towards the water supply
adapter (image 1). The water supply adapter is located in the rear part of the bottom panel (image 1).
water tap is always open during water-connection usage, so that the machine never runs out of water!
