• Pre-clinical data has shown minimal thrombus
formation in the absence of anticoagulation
which is comparable to other peel-away
introducers.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Prep and drape the access site according to
hospital protocol.
2. Introduce an access needle into the target
anatomy.
3. Introduce a wire guide through the needle
and into the target anatomy.
4. Withdraw the needle, leaving the wire guide
in place. If desired, enlarge the skin access
site with a #11 scalpel blade.
5. Introduce the Peel-Away introducer assembly
(sheath and dilator) over the wire guide. With
a twisting motion, advance the assembly into
the target anatomy.
6. Leaving the sheath in place, remove the
dilator and wire guide.
NOTE: In venous placements, to prevent
inadvertent air aspiration after removing
the wire guide and dilator, place a thumb or
finger over the proximal end of the sheath.
7. Introduce the desired catheter/device into
the sheath to the desired depth within the
target anatomy.
8. Peel the sheath away from the catheter by
grasping the two wings of the sheath and
pulling outward and upward.
NOTE: Once the sheath is removed, the
catheter/device position may need to be
adjusted.
HOW SUPPLIED
Supplied sterilized by ethylene oxide gas in peel-
open packages. Intended for one-time use. Sterile
if package is unopened and undamaged. Do not
use the product if there is doubt as to whether
the product is sterile. Store in a dark, dry, cool
place. Avoid extended exposure to light. Upon
removal from package, inspect the product to
ensure no damage has occurred.

Souprava zavaděče Peel-Away sestává ze sestavy

dilatátor). Soupravy mohou také obsahovat vodicí

dilatátoru a přístupovou jehlu vhodné velikosti
