5.0 INSTALACIÓN
5.1 INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES DE INSTALACIÓN Y CONEXIONES
La cuerda salvavidas autorretráctil MightEvac
debe fijarse a un anclaje arriba del nivel de la ca-
beza con el eslabón giratorio de fijación mediante
un mosquetón asegurador u otro conector de anc-
laje aprobado por Honeywell Miller, o debe usarse
junto con un soporte de montaje Honeywell Miller
el cual se instala después
Para protección anticaídas gen-
eral, conecte el conector extremo
(es decir, gancho de resorte) de
la cuerda salvavidas al anillo "D"
posterior del arnés de cuerpo en-
tero.

5.2 INSTALACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD
MIGHTEVAC AL SOPORTE DE MONTAJE (VER FIG. 1)
Paso 1: Retire las calcomanías protectoras redondas de color rojo de ambos lados de la unidad
MightEvac.
Paso 2: Introduzca el eslabón giratorio de fijación de la unidad en el soporte, como se muestra.
Paso 3: Deslice la unidad hacia adelante hasta que los agujeros roscados del alojamiento (don-
de se retiraron las calcomanías) estén alineados on los de la parte frontal del soporte, como se
muestra.
NOTA: El asa de acarreo de la unidad debe estar en posición levantada, lejos del soporte.
Introduzca el perno a través de la tuerca de seguridad, del separador y del agujero del soporte.
Apriete el perno a 8 ± 1 lb•pie (96 ± 12 lb•pulg / 11 ± 1.4 N•m). Repita la operación en el lado
opuesto.
Paso 4: Introduzca el pasador a
través de los agueros del soporte.
De esta manera se fija la unidad al
soporte. Asegúrese de que el pasa-
dor esté bien asegurado a través de
ambos agujeros y permanezca en su
lugar.
Paso 5: Fije la unidad con el soporte
a un dispositivo de anclaje Honey-
well Miller y asegúrela con los pas-
adores suministrados. Consulte los
procedimientos de instalación de-
scritos en las secciones 5.3, 5.4, 5.5,
5.6 y 5.7 de este manual.
