m WARNING
Danger of injury due to incorrect fitted saw blade guard
- Before starting sawing, ensure that the saw blade guard
(4) automatically lowers onto the material to be sawn.
9.5.2 Checking the saw blade guard
After fitting, check that the saw blade guard (4) is functioning
properly.
1. Lift the saw blade guard (4) and then release it.
2. The saw blade guard (4) should automatically move back
to its starting position.
9.6 Fitting the parallel stop (fig. 10)
1. Place the parallel stop (1) with open eccentric lever (27)
on the guide rail (20) on the saw table.
2. To change the position of the parallel stop (1), slide the
parallel stop (1) with open eccentric lever (27) along the
guide rail (20).
3. To secure the parallel stop (1) in the desired position, press
the eccentric lever (27) fully downwards.
9.7 Inserting the scale (fig. 11)
1. Turn the saw blade (6) to the maximum position out of the
saw table (2) by turning the crank wheel (14) counter-
clockwise until it reaches the stop.
2. Push the scale (28) into the guide groove (29) of the guide
rail (20) until it is approximately centred.
3. Position the parallel stop (1) with open eccentric lever (27)
on the guide rail (20) on the saw table (2) such that it
makes contact with the saw blade (6).
4. Secure this position by pressing the eccentric lever (27)
fully downwards.
5. Align the zero point of the scale (28) with the sight glass
(30) of the parallel stop (1) and secure this position with the
two enclosed slotted-head screws M4x6 (f).
9.8 Fitting the transverse stop (fig. 12)
1. Slide the transverse stop (3) into the groove (31) of the
saw table (2).
2. Loosen the locking handle (3c) by turning it counterclock-
wise.
3. Turn the transverse stop (3) until the arrow points to the
desired angle.
4. Secure this position by turning the locking handle (3c)
clockwise.
9.9 Fitting the cutting waste bag (fig. 13)
The cutting waste bag (32) is used to hold smaller cut remnants.
1. Mount a total of four special screws (i) and eight nuts M6
(g) between the table width extension (9) and the table
extension (8) on the left of the saw blade (6). The longer
side of the screws' plastic coat should point upwards (fig.
13). To do so, use the corresponding holes drilled into the
saw table (2).
2. Hook the eyelets on the cutting waste bag (32) into the
four special screws (i) so that the cutting waste bag (32)
hangs securely.

9.10 Connecting an extraction system (fig. 14)
m WARNING
Danger of injury for eyes due to swirling chips
- Wear protective goggles.
- Only operate the product with a suitable chip extrac-
tion system. Do not use a common household vacuum
cleaner.
1. Connect a suitable chip extraction system (not included in
the scope of delivery) to the extraction port (33).
2. Connect the extraction hose (34) of a suitable chip extrac-
tion system (e.g. a multi-purpose vacuum cleaner) to the
extraction port (33).
ATTENTION
Check and clean the extraction channels at regular intervals.

10. Before commissioning

10.1 General notes
• Check that the product is fully assembled.
• Check that the safety covers are present, installed and func-
tional.
• Check that the switches work as intended.
• Check that the product is on a firm footing.
• Check that the labels on the product are present and legible.
Missing or damaged labels must be replaced or exchanged.
• Check that the mains voltage and the operating voltage
match, see Technical data.
• Check that the supply lines, extensions, cable drum, etc. are
not too long. Otherwise there may be a drop in voltage or
delay in motor start-up.
• Check that the ambient temperature is observed.
10.2 Product-specific notes
• The machine must be securely installed. Therefore, bolt it
down on a workbench, machine stand or similar. Use the
holes on the inner side of the frame legs for this.
• It must be possible for the saw blade to run freely.
• In case of previously machined wood, be aware of any for-
eign bodies, such as nails or screws, etc.
• Before pressing the on/off switch (16), make sure that the
saw blade (6) is correctly fitted, and that moving parts run
smoothly.
• Only connect the machine to a correctly installed protective
contact socket, with fuse protection of at least 16 A.

11. Operation

11.1 Switch (fig. 15)
11.1.1 On/off switch
• To switch the saw on, push the "I" button at the on/off switch
(16). Before you start sawing, wait until the saw blade (6)
has reached its maximum speed.
• To switch off the saw, push the "0" button at the on/off
switch (16).
