Safety
NEVER try to extinguish a fi re with
–
water, but switch off the appliance
and then cover fl ame e.g. with a lid
or a fi re blanket.
If you are preparing food with alco-
–
hol, do not leave the cooker unat-
tended! Food may ignite of its own
accord.
Do not store items on the cooking
–
surfaces.
The cooking process has to be super-
–
vised. A short term cooking process
has to be supervised continously.
Use only hob guards designed by the
–
manufacturer of the cooking applian-
ce or indicated by the manufacturer
of the appliance in the instructions
for use as suitable or hob guards in-
corporated in the appliance. The use
of inappropriate guards can cause ac-
cidents.
Always switch the hob off completely
–
after cooking!
Oven
■
Only ever operate the oven with the
–
oven door closed.
Do not cover cakes or roasts be-
–
ing cooked in the oven with baking
parchment. Do not allow food, bak-
ing parchment and aluminium foil
to come into contact with the heat-
ing elements.
Do not place food to be grilled too
–
far back near the end of the heat-
ing element. It is particularly hot
there. Fatty foods can catch fire.
If the cooling fan is defective, the
–
appliance can quickly overheat,
causing even more damage to the
appliance and setting fire to any
other nearby flammable objects. In
such an event, immediately switch
off the appliance, open the oven
door and stop using the cooker!
Do not store temperature-sensi-
–
tive, combustible or flammable ob-
jects in the oven! If the appliance
is switched on unintentionally they
may deform or ignite.
Do not use the oven for storage
–
purposes.
If you are cooking foods in oil, fat
–
or with alcohol, do not leave the
oven unattended! Food may ignite
of its own accord.
In case of an oven fire:
–
Keep the oven door closed! Never
extinguish burning oil or fat with
water!
Once the fi re has been extinguished,
■
have the appliance checked by our
service team (see page EN-37).
Timer
■
Before starting the timer, please
–
make sure you inform all members
of the household so that they do
not put anything in the oven.
Never leave anything to grill unat-
–
tended when using the timer!
Monitor the oven while using the
–
timer in order to prevent spilling
and burning. Please note that fats,
oils and alcohol can catch on fire
when heated.
Always turn the function selector
–
and temperature controller to zero
after the automatic shut-down!
