3 TRANSPORT

The SPLENDIMO FC mower can be transported on the tractor's
front hydraulics.
Put the machine into the transport position as follows:
Transport width 3.1 m:
- Fold both safety covers on either side of the machine (fig. 5).
- Secure the protection covers by means of the elastic bands in
order to prevent flapping.
Transport width 3.0 m:
- Remove the safety shields from either side of the machine.
- Turn the RH disc square with the cutter bar and make sure that the
knife on the LH disc is turned inside.
- Lift the machine by fully retracting the hydraulic ram, followed
by the use of the tractor's front lift.
- Close the valve (fig. 6).
While driving with the machine in transport position, the
transport lock should always be closed by means of the valve.
- Use all such lighting and warning signals as are mandatory by
!
law (or other regulations prescribed by the authorities).
- When using a tractor of which brakes can only be applied to
the rear wheels, the braking capacity may decrease; this is
particularly so, when another implement has not been linked
to the tractor's rear hydraulic lift.
The machine is now ready for transport.
Never allow the PTO shaft to rotate when the machine is in the
transport position.
