2 LINKAGE TO THE TRACTOR
When using the SPLENDIMO FC mower in the tractor front
hydraulics, make sure that the hydraulic lift is single acting or that,
in case of double acting front hydraulics, a floating position is
possible. A single acting hydraulic front lift, or a double acting lift
with floating position can move upwards if the mower hits the three
point hitch during operations in uneven fields. If the hydraulic lift is
unable to move upwards, there is the risk of the tractor weight being
transferred to the three point hitch, which may cause serious damage
to the mower. This information also applies to the use of the
SPLENDIMO FC mower conditioner in the rear hydraulics of the
tractor, or within a Triplo configuration.
- Fit the quick hitch (ISO 11001-2, fig. 3) to the tractor's front
hydraulics. Adjust length of top link in such a way that the quick
hitch is parallel to the machine's linkage attachment.
- Use stabilization chains or rods to avoid lateral movement of the
lever arms.
- Manoeuvre the quick hitch carefully underneath the linkage
attachment. Ensure linkage by slowly lifting the hydraulic system.
Check if the quick hitch is secured by the locking hook (fig. 4: A).
Fit a securing pin in the top of the locking hook.
If the hook fails to spring back above the securing plate (fig. 4: B)
or if it has too much clearance, then the securing plate needs to be
re-adjusted. Proceed as follows:
• Lower the tractor's hydraulic lift and drive the tractor back.
• Loosen fastening screw (fig. 4: C) and adjust securing plate by
means of adjusting screw (fig. 4: D).
• Secure adjusting screw with the aid of the nut (fig. 4: E) and re-
tighten securing plate.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
!
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the minimum
and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves
- Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part of the
tractor.
- Connect the hydraulic hose for lifting the machine to a single
acting hydraulic spool valve that has a floating position.
Maximum allowed oil pressure: 21.0 MPa (210 bar).
- Lift the three point hitch until the locking pins are released.
Re-position the locking pins to the storage facility in the fixation
lips.
