Operation: General information
Fan/extraction hood
CAUTION
Risk of scalding!
Steam is generated through the build
up of heat within the appliance when
cooking dishes, and can cause scalding
when coming into contact with the skin.
This steam is discharged from the cook-
ing compartment through the extrac-
tion hood. Hot air can also come out
under the cooking compartment door.
Make sure that you do not come into
■
contact with the hot steam coming
out of the extraction hood during op-
eration.
Make sure that, when opening the
■
oven door, you do not come into con-
tact with the hot steam rising out of
the cooking compartment.
The door handle may also be hot af-
■
ter a long period of cooking.
(14)
The air outlet is through the extraction hood
(14) between the control panel and the oven
door.
The fan will cool the steam emanating from
the oven and grill and will prevent adjacent
furniture from becoming too hot.
After the cooking time has finished, the fan
will continue to run for some time to cool the
appliance down. The length of time depends
on the heat level inside the appliance. Once
the internal temperature has dropped below
100 °C, the fan will stop.
