Safety
When frying potatoes using raw po-
tato discs or frying potato fritters in
a frying pan, it is better to use mar-
garine (with a minimum fat content
of 80 %) or oil with a little margarine
instead of pure oil.
Brushing baked goods with egg
whites or egg yolks helps to reduce
the formation of acrylamide.
Risk of tipping and injury!
If a heavy weight is placed on the open
appliance door, the appliance can tilt
forwards. There is a risk of injury from
falling objects.
The appliance door must not be used
as a support prop, seat or step.
NOTICE
Risk due to improper operation!
The appliance door is heavy and has
a glass front. Do not allow the door to
fall open when taking it off its hinges!
Do not use any harsh, abrasive clean-
ers or sharp metal scrapers to clean
the glass on the oven door, as they
can scratch the surface. This can de-
stroy the glass.
When cleaning do not use steel
wool, oven sprays, steam cleaners or
high-pressure cleaners! They can dam-
age the surface and destroy the glass.
High-pressure cleaners can cause a
short circuit.
Special risks in microwave mode
WARNING
Microwave hazard!
A door that fails to close adequately
can cause microwave radiation to es-
cape. The microwave must not be used
in such a case.
Pay particular attention to the clean-
liness of the door seals and door seal
faces along with all adjacent parts.
If the door or door seal are damaged,
do not operate the cooking appliance
until it has been repaired by a person
trained to do so.
Do not operate the appliance if the
door is warped or damaged, or if the
viewing window, door latch, hinges,
or door seals are defective, or if the
door does not close tightly for any
other reason. Any such repairs may
be undertaken only by a qualified
professional.
It is dangerous for anyone except a
specially trained individual to per-
form any maintenance or repair work
that requires the removal of a cover
that protects against exposure to mi-
crowave radiation.
Danger of explosion!
Liquids or other foods should not be
heated in sealed containers, as they
can easily explode. You may be in-
jured when opening the container.
Never put a mixture of oil or fat and
water into the microwave. This can
explode.
Unshelled eggs or whole hard-boiled
eggs must not be warmed up in mi-
crowave appliances, as they can ex-
