Operation

Beeps

If you use your microwave oven, you will hear
beeps for every action:
– each time you move a control knob or
press a button, you will hear a beep.
– If you wish to make an adjustment that is
not possible (e.g. if you have selected one
of the automatic programs and wish to set
the selection dial (11) to "Grill"), two beeps
will sound.
– If you use one of the automatic programs
that combine the microwave and grill func-
tions, you will be asked after approximately
two thirds of the cooking time to turn the
food being cooked. You will be notified by
three beeps.
– At the end of the cooking process, four
beeps will sound.

Setting the time

When the appliance is connected to the pow-
er supply, you will hear a beep and
appear on the display (10). In order to use the
appliance with all of the functions, first you
must set the time.
You must manually adjust the clock
to summer time at the end of March
and back again in October.
1. Press the "Time" button (13).

once again in order to switch from the 24-
hour clock ( ) to the 12-hour clock

3. Set the number of hours using the control
dial (12).
4. Press the "Time" button (13) again.

5. Set the number of minutes using the con-
trol dial (12).
6. Press the "Time" button (13) once again.
The time is now set; the set time will ap-
pear on the display (10).
Activating and deactivating
the safety lock (child lock)
If the safety lock (child lock) is activated, then
all buttons including the function selector will
not work.
Activating the safety lock is only
possible when the appliance is in
sleep mode.
• To activate the safety lock (child lock),
press and hold down the "Time" but-
ton (13) for approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound, and the

• To deactivate the safety lock (child lock),
press and hold down the "Time" but-
ton (13) again for approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound, and the

WARNING
Microwave hazard!
A door that fails to close adequately can
cause microwave radiation to escape. If
this happens, do not use the appliance.

volves the removal of a cover which
gives protection against exposure to
microwave energy.
■ Pay particular attention to the clean-
liness of the door seals and door seal
faces along with all adjacent parts.
