4.3 CHECKING AND CONNECTING THE ELECTRICAL LINE

• Let a Skilled Engineer check if the power supply of the electrical system conforms with the
data reported on the identification plate located on the water cleaner (see Fig. 8). Especially
the power supply voltage must only differ of ±5% from the one reported on the plate.
• The connection of the electrical mains must be carried out by a Qualified Electrician
according to standard IEC 364 or equivalent standards which are valid in the country
where the water cleaner is used. Especially the power supply socket to which the water
cleaner is connected must be equipped with earth connector, suitable fuse (the value is
reported on the identification plate and in the technical data table) and must be protected
by means of a differential magneto-thermal switch having a sensitiveness which is not
higher than 30 mA.
• If the water cleaner is not destined to be connected in a fixed way to the electrical
supply and if the supply cable is without a plug, it is necessary to apply to a Qualified
Electrician that will connect a plus according to the standards which are valid in the
country where the water cleaner is installed.
• If the water cleaner is destined to be connected in a fixed way to the mains, the instal-
lation must be carried out by a Qualified Electrician according to standard IEC 364
or equivalent standards which are valid in the country where the water cleaner is used.
Especially the power supply socket to which the water cleaner is connected must be
equipped with earth connector, suitable fuse, protection by means of a differential
magneto-thermal switch having a sensitiveness which is not higher than 30 mA and
separation of the electrical line of the water cleaner with universal polarity switch having
a minimum opening among contacts of 3 mm.
Note: in this use and maintenance manual it is always intended that the water cleaner is
connected to the electrical line by means of a plug.
If the water cleaner is connected in a fixed way to the electrical line, we means that:
- the fact of having the universal polarity switch in switched off position (position "0")
means that the plug has been removed from the socket;
- the fact of having the universal polarity switch in switched on position (position "1")
means that the plug in inserted in the socket.
• If the power supply cable is too short, you can use and extension by making sure that
it does not overcome 10 m, that the section of the leads is of at least 2.5 mm 2 and that
the plug and the socket are sealing ones. To respect all these prescriptions, apply to a
Qualified Electrician.
Unsuitable extensions can be dangerous.

5. OPERATION

• Using the cleaner requires care and attention: NEVER entrust it to others without ascertaining
under your own responsibility that they have read the manuals and know how to use the
cleaner. The water cleaners must not be used by children or not trained personnel.
• Observe the safety instructions contained in the use and maintenance manual of the pos-
sible optional accessories that are used.
• Do not use the water cleaner in case:
