e) Second Receiver Unit

First put all sensors into operation if this has not happened yet
• Open the battery compartment cover (23) on the back of the second receiver unit and insert two AA/mignon
batteries paying attention to the correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• After inserting the batteries, all available display elements will briefly appear in the display.
• Close the battery compartment with the cover.
• Now the receiver unit looks for available outdoor sensors. The icon for radio reception from the outdoor sensors
flashes in the upper left of the display. Do not press any buttons during this search.
After the search is completed, the temperature and humidity of the outdoor sensor for channel 1 (CH1) should be
displayed. Switch channels 1, 2 and 3 (CH1, CH2 und CH3) by briefly pressing the "CHANNEL" (16) button.
When only operating one temperature/humidity sensor (in this set, only one temperature/humidity
sensor is included in the delivery; others may be ordered optionally), it must always be set to channel
1 so that the weather station can record data. For this purpose, see chapter 8 and 9.
If no measured values of the temperature/humidity sensor are displayed in this line, perform a manual search for
all outdoor sensors.
Keep the "" button (17) pressed until the icon for radio reception flashes in the upper area of the display. The
sensor search can take several minutes. Do not press any receiver unit buttons during this time. When the icon no
longer flashes, the sensor search is completed.
• After completing the search for outdoor sensors, the radio mast icon for the DCF reception flashes in the display.
The detection of the DCF signal and its evaluation can last a few minutes. Do not press any buttons
during this time and do not move the receiver unit.
Do not place the receiver unit next to any electric/electronic devices; do not place it near cables, plugs
or metallic parts.
A bad reception can also be caused by, e.g. metallised insulated glass, reinforced concrete construction
design, coated special wallpaper or an installation in cellars.
For more information about DCF reception, see chapter 10.
• After proper recognition of the DCF signal and evaluation, the time is displayed in the lower area of the display.
If reception is bad, the time can also be set manually.
