n) Alarm Clock Function
Selecting the alarm function
Press the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18) briefly until the desired alarm function appears:
• Alarm function for weekdays (display " W")
The alarm clock function is only triggered on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
• Single alarm (display " S")
The alarm function is only triggered once, then it is automatically switched off. This additional wake-up function can
be used if you want to be woken at a different time as an exception; the usual weekly alarm time is not affected.
Just switch off the alarm clock function for the weekday and switch on the single alarm function.
• Pre-alarm for low temperatures ("PRE AL" is displayed in the lower left)
At low outdoor temperatures below about 2°C, the so-called pre-alarm is triggered at a set time (15, 30, 45, 60 or
90 minutes) before the actual alarm time. This way, you have enough time to scratch ice off the windshield of your
car, for example, or to shovel snow.
Activating/deactivating the alarm function
• First, select the desired alarm function with the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18) as described above.
• With the "" (17) and "" (19) buttons, the previously selected alarm function can be switched off ("OFF" display)
or on (alarm time display).
• Repeatedly press the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18) (each time only briefly) until the normal time display appears
again.

If an alarm clock function is activated, the corresponding icon (" W", " S" or "PRE AL") appears in
the display.
Setting the alarm time
• First switch on an alarm clock function, as described above.
• Press the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18) (approx. 2 seconds) until the hours of the alarm time start to flash.
• Set the hour with the "" (17) and "" (19) buttons.
• Briefly press the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18); the minutes of the alarm time flash.
• Set the hour with the "" (17) and "" (19) buttons.
• Complete the setting by briefly pressing the "ALARM ON/OFF" (18) button.

The pre-alarm (PRE AL) times of 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes are set with the "" (17) and "" (19)
buttons.
Checking the alarm time
• Check the setting for all alarm times by briefly pressing the "ALARM ON/OFF" (18) button. The set alarm times are
shown in the display. If an alarm time is deactivated, "OFF" appears in the display.
• Repeatedly press the "ALARM ON/OFF" button (18) (each time only briefly) until the normal time display appears
again.
