34 Installation
Diagnostic tool set, containing
• DT20
• USB-Cable
• Power supply
• Software CD
1. Connect the encoder
cable to either a computer's USB port or to the DC power supply pro-
vided.
Use Power
supply with USB port for
DT20 power if not connected
to computer USB port.
USB computer interface
cable (plugs into either
power supply or computer)

2. Alignment - Connect the USB cable to the DT20 with power from either
the Universal Power supply or computer USB port. The diagnostic tool
signal level and Sensor head LED's are now used for alignment. Proper
alignment is indicated by green sensor head and Diagnostic Tool Sig-
nal Level LED's.
3. Position the sensor over a section of the scale. Adjust the sensor's Y, Z
or Oz directions until the signal level and sensor head LED's are green.
