Clamp the sample securely in the specimen holder using the
appropriate Allen key or place the sample mounted on a glass
plate on the vacuum holder.

Fasten the specimen holder in the specimen holder head by
pushing the specimen holder into the dovetail fixture and tighten
the screw with an Allen key.

When grinding with rotation or oscillation, the sample and the
specimen holder should be clamped so that they rotate evenly
around the centre of the sample. This way the fastest grinding is
obtained as the cup wheel will be grinding most of the time and
the possibility of damaging the cup wheel is limited.
Do not use rotation when working with the vacuum holder. The vacuum
tube will be wrapped around the holder. Use oscillation instead.
