Maintenance instructions
INFORMATION
The bearing washer (A) and the bearing bushing (B) can be replaced if required. Only use soap and water for
cleaning. When replacing the bearing washer, please make sure to use always washers of the same colour.

To open the lock, loosen the two screws at the right and left of the cap. Check whether dust or dirt has settled on
the spring D or lock E. If required, clean the spring and lock with a brush (see fig. 49, see fig. 50). Ensure that the
plug contacts F (see fig. 50) of the joint to the electronics are clean.

Before reassembling the unit, reapply protective silicone grease to the plug contacts. A plastic syringe with a short,
cut-off cannula facilitates controlling the dosage.
INFORMATION
The magnet (G) and the electronics (H) must not be removed.
CAUTION
Risk of malfunction due to disassembly
The actuating bolt (I) must not be loosened, since this can affect the functionality of the joint.
5.2 Faults or defects of electronic components
NOTICE
Risk of short circuit
Never open electronic components. In case of a defect, send all electronic components to your service technician
and replace the electronic components with a service set.
Defects of electronic components are indicated by a continuous light or tone.
If the defective component cannot be identified, you can order a service set. The service set replaces the defective
electronics until they are repaired. Replace the defective electronics (see Page 35).
