Notice!
Use of contaminated compressed
air can lead to malfunctions.
→ Use clean compressed air. For
example with SATA filter 444
(Art. No. 92296).
■ Check all screws for tightness.
■ Tighten paint nozzle tightly.
■ Flush material passage with suitable
cleaning fluid (see Chap. 11).
■ Adjust air nozzle.
■ Connect control air (min. 3 bars).
■ Connect flat fan air and round fan air.
■ Connect material supply.
Information!
Test air nozzles are available
from SATA for support in adjust-
ing the spay parameters (see
Chap. 13).
9.2. Normal operation
The automatic gun does not include
an internal controller. To start the
spray process, first open the flat fan
air and round fan air and then the
material supply. The control pulse
will then cause the paint needle to
open and spraying will begin. When
the control pulse is stopped, the
paint needle will close again and
spraying will stop. The material will
stop flowing. Next, close the flat fan
and round fan air supply.
Before using observe/check the
following points to ensure safe op-

eration of the automatic gun.
■ Is automatic gun mounted securely?
■ Are the compressed air flow rate and
pressure ensured?
■ Is the compressed air clean?
Adjustment of the Spray Gun Inlet Pres-
sure
Information!
If the required gun input pressure
is not present, increase the pres-
sure in the compressed air circuit.
■ Set spray air to required input pres-
sure.
Adjust material flow rate
Notice!
Metering with the material flow
control can lead to nozzle wear.
→ During normal operation the
material flow control should be
completely open. → Adjust mate-
rial flow rate using material sup-
ply pressure.
→ Adjust material flow rate with
material flow control only for very
low quantities of material. (for
variants with material flow con-
trol).
