For extended periods of non use
(longer than 3 months) and at room
temperatures below 13 ºC
Take all food out of the appliance.

Switch off the water supply
D
(1 day before switching of the ice maker).
Empty the ice cube container
D
(see Cleaning the appliance").
Lift the arm into the locked position to switch off
D
the ice maker.
Run off the remaining drinking water.
D
Remove the water filter and throw away;
D
fit the bypass cover.

Pull out the mains plug.
D
Clean the appliance interior
D
(see Cleaning the appliance").
To prevent odours, leave the doors open.
D
If there is a risk of frost, have a technician empty
the water container for the drinking water dispenser.

Cleaning the appliance

Attention: Pull out the mains plug or switch off

the fuse!
Clean the door seal with water only and then dry
D
thoroughly.
Clean the appliance with tepid rinsing water.
D
The rinsing water must not drip onto the fascia
or light.
Do not place the cold glass shelves directly from
the freezer compartment into hot water.
Never clean the shelves or containers in the
dishwasher. The parts may warp.
After cleaning: insert the mains plug or switch on
D
the fuse.

Never touch frozen food with wet hands.
Your hands could freeze to the food. Risk of injury!
Never use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance.
The steam may come into contact with live parts in
the appliance and cause a short circuit or electric
shock. Steam may damage the plastic surfaces.
