Transport

Never transport the appliance horizontally.

If the appliance cannot be transported in an upright
position, it should be placed on its back.
After installing the appliance, wait at least ½ hour
before switching on the appliance.
During transportation the oil in the compressor
may have flowed into the refrigeration system.
Use a trolley for transporting the appliance.

Always load the appliance from the side or rear,
never from the front.
Attach the appliance to the trolley with straps.

Pull straps through the handle.
Never tighten the straps excessively to prevent
damaging the housing.
Protect the surface of the appliance during transport,

e. g. with blankets or similar.
If the appliance will not fit through the house door,
D
the appliance doors can be unscrewed.
This work must be carried out only by a specialist.
Connecting the appliance to the water
supply
All parts required for correct connection to the water
supply are provided.
The water may be connected only by a competent fitter
according to the local regulations of the appropriate
water supply company.
Connect the appliance to a cold water line.

connecting pipe should be freely accessible.
The enclosed connection lines are 3.0 m long.
Taste and odour of the water may be improved by
installing the enclosed water filter in the water supply.
If the water connection hose is damaged or has
a leakage, then this should be exchanged with an
original part from the manufacturer which can be
bought from the customer service.

Electrical connection

Do not use any extension cables or distributors.
This appliance must be connected to a permanently
installed socket.
The socket should be freely accessible. Connect the
appliance to 220-240 V/50 Hz alternating current
via a correctly installed earthed socket. The socket must
be fused with a 10 to 16 A fuse.
If the appliance is to be operated in a non European
country, check on the rating plate whether the
indicated voltage and current type correspond to the
values of your mains supply. Information on position
of the rating plate is provided in the Chapter Call
Customer Service/Rating Plate". The power cord
may be replaced by an electrician only.

Under no circumstances must the appliance be
connected to electronic energy saving plugs and
inverters that convert d.c. into 230 V a.c. (e.g. solar
systems, ship's power supplies).
