Water filter

Risk of serious illness and fatality!

Do not use the appliance where the quality of the
water is doubtful or unknown without adequate
disinfection before and after filtering.
Filter cartridges for the water filter are available from
customer service or a GAGGENAU authorised retailer.

Changing the filter cartridge

Open the cover.
D
The water system is under low pressure after use.
Caution when removing the filter.
Turn the old filter cartridge clockwise until it loosens.

Remove the filter packaging and insert the filter
D
cartridge. Turn the filter cartridge clockwise
until the filter locks in place.
Close the cover.
D
Extract several litres of water via the water dispenser
D
to remove air from the water system.
Pour out the water from the spent filter cartridge.
D
The filter cartridge can be disposed of as household
waste.
After changing the filter cartridge, press the Filter
D
display reset" button and hold for three seconds.
The Change filter" LED displays (yellow/red)
extinguish.

Water filter information

Change the water filter every 12 months. The life of the
filter depends on the water quality and water flow rate.
Earlier replacement may be necessary under
unfavourable conditions.
If the appliance is not used for extended periods (more
than four weeks), remove the water filter and throw away.
Fit a new filter when using the appliance again.
If the appliance has not been used for an extended
period or the water has an unpleasant taste or smell,
flush the water system.
For this purpose, extract water from the water dispenser
for several minutes. If the unpleasant taste or smell
persists, change the filter.
The ice and water dispenser can be used without a filter.
In this case, fit the blue bypass cover.
