Selecting the temperature
The temperature has been set to +4 °C at the factory.
Press repeatedly or keep pressed the temperature setting
button 2 until the temperature you want appears.
We recommend a setting of +4 °C.
Perishable food should not be stored warmer than +4 °C.
Note:
The temperature in the freezer compartment A is
dependent on the temperature in the refrigerator
compartment.
A colder temperature in the refrigerator compartment will
also lower the temperature in the freezer compartment.
Operating tips
The temperature in the cool fresh" compartment has
been set to almost 0 °C at the factory and should not be
changed if at all possible. If frost forms on the refrigerated
food, the temperature can be increased.
(See Eliminating minor faults yourself").
While the refrigerating unit is running, condensation
or frost forms on the rear panel of the refrigerator and
"cool fresh" compartments. This is quite normal.
It is not necessary to wipe off the condensation or frost.
The rear panel defrosts automatically. The condensation
runs into the drainagechannel. and then to the refrigera
ting unit where it evaporates.
Storing food in the appliance
Making use of different temperature
zones
The circulation of air within the refrigerator section gives
rise to different temperature zones.
The coldest zones are up against the rear wall and
D
just above the bottom shelf.
The warmest zone is at the very top, in front of the
D
door.
Keep items such as cheese and butter in the
warmest zone. This will mean that butter remains
easy to spread.
Please note
Wrap or cover food before placing in the appliance. This
will retain the aroma, colour and freshness of the food.
In addition, flavours will not be transferred between foods
and the plastic parts will not become discoloured.
We recommend you arrange food as follows:
In the freezer compartment: Frozen food, ice
D
cubes, ice cream.
On the shelves in the refrigerator: baked food,
D
cooked dishes, chill sensitive fruit and vegetables
In the fresh products refrigerator:
D
dairy products, meat and sausage
In the humidity drawer: vegetables, lettuce, fruit
D
In the door (from top to bottom): butter, cheese,
