HEATING (IF FORESEEN)

The heated air is blown into the car through the same adjustable louvers and series of vents used for air-conditioning.
Before turning on the heating, make sure the le louvers on the air diffuser ARE OPEN and that the air filter is not dirty or obstructed.
After switching off the heating, we recommend you switch on the ventilation for a few moments in order to facilitate the cooling of the electric
resistances
Three devices placed close to the resistances protect the heater unit. These avoid overheating caused by possible anomalies (e.g. blocking
of the air filter, fan defect, etc.):
- 1 thermostat with automatic reinsertion 50°C
- 1 thermostat with manual reinsertion 90°C
- 1 security thermal fuse that cuts off the electric circuit supplying power to the heater when reaching an extreme admissible temperature.
When, close to the 1° thermostat, a temperature of 50°C is reached, the heating is deactivated. It is reactivated automatically only when the
temperature decreases.
In case of breakage of the 1° thermostat, a very high temperature can be reached in the area of the electrical resistance. This very high
temperature causes the intervention of the 2° thermostat.
To verify whether the switching off of the heating was caused by the intervention of the 2° thermostat, dismantle the air diffuser (ONLY
AFTER HAVING DISCONNECTED ALL POWER SUPPLIES) and hence the heater unit; in this way, the red pushbutton positioned on the
thermostat, which allows the reinsertion of the thermostat, is easily visible.
Before reassembling the heater unit, the air diffuser and restart the heating, it will be necessary to identify and eliminate the problem.
The heating function, when the 2° thermostat intervenes, can only be manually restarted.
If first 2 above stated devices should not intervene, the safety thermal fuse will deactivate the heating function.
Even if the thermal fuse intervenes, it is necessary to remove the air diffuser (ONLY AFTER DISCONNECTING ALL POWER SUPPLIES)
and then the heater unit.
After having identified and fixed the problem, before reassembling the heater unit and reinstating the heating function, you will need to
replace the thermal fuse with an equivalent one.

L'air rechauffé est distribué à l'intérieur du véhicule, à travers les mêmes bouches orientables et les fentes utilisées pour la distribution de
l'air climatisé.
Il est important de vérifier, avant de établir la fonction chauffage, que les bouches sur le diffuseur d'air SONT OUVERTES et que le filtre à
air n'est pas sale ou bouché.
Il est conseillé, quand on met en service la fonction chauffage, d'activer pendant quelques instants la fonction ventilation pour faciliter le
refroidissement des résistances électriques.
Le bloc réchauffeur est protégé par 3 dispositifs positionnés à proximité des résistances, pour éviter des surchauffes provoquées par
d'éventuelles anomalies (ex:filtre à air bouché, avarie du ventilateur électrique, etc..).
- 1 thermostat à enclenchement automatique 50°C
- 1 thermostat à enclenchement manuel 90°C
- 1 fusible thermique de sécurité qui interrompt le circuit électrique d'alimentation du réchauffeur quand il atteint une température extrême
aceptable.
Lorsque en proximité du premier thermostat on atteint une température de 50°C, la fonction chauffage est désactivée qui se réactive
automatiquement seulement avec le décrément de la température.
En cas d' avarie dupremier thermostat, on peut atteindre, dans la zone des résistances électriques, une température très élevée qui
provoque l'intervention du deuxième thermostat.
Pour vérifier si l'interruption de la fonction chauffage a été causé par l'intervention du deuxième thermostat, il faut démonter le diffuseur d'air
(SEULEMENT APRES AVOIR DEBRANCHER TOUTE ALIMENTATION ELECTRIQUE) et donc le bloque chauffant; de cette façon on peut
facilement visualiser la manette rouge positionné sur le thermostat qui permet de le réinsérer.
Avant de remonter, le bloque chauffant, le diffuseur d'air et rétablir la fonction chauffage, il faut identifier et éliminer l'anomalie qui s'est
produit.
La fonction chauffage, en cas d'intervention du deuxième thermostat, peut être donc rétablie seulement manuellement.
Dans le cas où les 2 protections précédemment décrites n'interviennent pas, le fusible thermique de sécurité désactivera la fonction
"chauffage".
Dans le cas également d'intervention du fusible thermique, il faut démonter le diffuseur d'air (UNIQUEMENT APRES AVOIR DECONNECTE
TOUTE ALIMENTATION ELECTRIQUE) et ensuite le bloc du réchauffeur.
Après avoir identifié et éliminé l'anomalie, avant de remonter le groupe de chauffage et rétablir la fonction de chauffage, il faut remplacer le
fusible thermique par un autre fusible ayant les mêmes caractéristiques.
