3. Installation

The installation must be carried out according to
local regulations and directives. Sololift+ WC must
be installed in the same room as the toilet.
Please note that all Sololift+ models must be
accessible for maintenance and repair. Engineers
will not be able to carry out service or repair of the
unit without easy access.

3.1 Electrical installation

The electrical installation must only be carried
out by trained personnel.
Sololift+ WC must be connected to a voltage supply
according to the nameplate.
The installation must include an earth
leakage circuit breaker for protection
against earth fault currents. This
ensures protection when using a
Schuko plug or another alternative to a
plug with earth pin.
Sololift+ WC must be connected to a
mains switch with a minimum contact
gap of 3 mm in all poles.
The lifting station must be protected
against water splashes in accordance
with regulations.

3.1.2 Motor protection
In case of overtemperature a thermal
overload switch cuts out the motor and
cuts it in when the motor has cooled
sufficiently.

3.2 Mechanical installation

The floor fittings F must be fitted to prevent uplift in
case the room is flooded. Sololift+ WC should be
installed with adequate access for maintenance.
3.2.1 Siphoning
If the connection to the sewer is below the bottom of
the lifting station, it is advisable to install a vent valve
to prevent siphonage.
If the last pipe section after a horizontal discharge
pipe is vertical, it must be two sizes bigger than the
horizontal pipe. If the horizontal pipe is ∅23, the
vertical pipe should be ∅40. If the horizontal pipe is
∅32, the vertical pipe should be ∅50. See fig. 5.

3.2.3 Connection to toilet
Sololift+ WC should be used for a toilet with
horizontal outlet according to EN 33 or EN 37. The
toilet must use at least 6 litres per flush.
Push the lifting station against the toilet and pull the
sleeve over the toilet discharge so that the joint is
covered.
Fit the clip and make sure that the sleeve is in the
correct position.
To avoid undue noise, Sololift+ WC can be placed at
a distance of 10 mm from the wall and on a vibration-
dampening base.

3.3 Connection of discharge pipe

The discharge pipe must be of a material suitable for
raw sewage and have an external diameter of 23, 25,
28 or 32 mm.
The non-return valve in the tank prevents backflow
from the discharge pipe.
It is advisable to use a minimum ∅25 discharge pipe
according to EN 12050-3.
Fit the discharge elbow B using clip C.
Adapt the discharge pipe, if necessary, using
reducer D.
It is advisable to fit a drain plug at the bottom of the
vertical pipe section for use in case of repair of the
discharge pipe.
