Event configuration

You can select different system log events. When the selected events occur, the
system sends a log information.

System event selection: You can choose from the following options: device
coldstart, power status, SNMP authentification failure and changing the ring
topology. Tick the box to select an event. When the selected event occurs the
system produces logs.

Device Cold Start: If the device is cold started, the system sends a log.

Power Status: If the power status is changed, the system sends a log.

SNMP Authentication Failure: If the SNMP authentification fails, the
system sends a log.

Ring Topology Change: If the ring topology changes, the system sends
a log.

Port Event Selection: Select the per port events. Per ports have three
different options to choose from – Link up, link down, link up and down.

Link UP: The system produces a log message when the port connection
is „up" only.

Link Down: The system produces a log message when the port
connection is „down" only.

Link UP & Link Down: The system produces a log message when the
port connection is „down" and "up".

