Functions and use of device (model SKT 3)
Electric heating element controller SKT 3 has been designed to warm interiors via
the use of an external temperature sensor. Additionally, it has a DRYER function
which enables drying of towels and clothes. In situations when heating is required
regardless of the room temperature, it is possible to configure the controller to
regulate heat output. All of these features make SKT 3 universal, straight-forward
and user-friendly.

Button switches the device on and off.

Arrow buttons ( and ) are used to modify set values such as temperature and
time.
Use the (clock) button to switch on the timer and modify its functional settings;
such as drying for a set time (DRYER mode) or to regulate the device at selected
times during the day (24-hr timer).
The LCD display panel displays the current temperature, and the set temperature.
The time is also displayed as is additional information about the devices setting:
Symbol on LCD display lights up when the current temperature is lower than
the set temperature and the device will heat in order to reach the set
temperature.
Icon indicates that the 24-hr timer is active and informs the user of set times.
Temperature setting will change automatically in accordance with the set
programme (up to 4 times during 24-hr day).
Symbols T1 T2 T3 and T4 are displayed only when the 24-hr timer is active
and they show the current time zone that is set.

Set temperature is displayed for a few seconds after pressing one of the arrows,
after that the display goes back to displaying the devices current temperature.
Attention: if the controller has been configured to work in the heat output regulation
mode regardless of temperature, the display will show the current setting from
P0 to P9.
SELECTION OF REGULATION MODE
The device has two regulation modes:
TEMPERATURE REGULATION MODE (manufacturer's default mode) – device
reads current room temperature and collates it with the current setting. Advanced
temperature regulation algorithm controls the average heat output (by turning the
device on and off regularly) and maintains the set temperature by adjusting
electricity uptake to suit current room conditions.
User may control room temperature within 15°C to 30°C
HEATING OUTPUT REGULATION MODE – In this mode, the device only uses the
temperature sensor for anti-freeze protection of the radiator. During normal use,
SKT 3 heats with current medium heat output regardless of external conditions
(room temperature). Respective settings from P0 to P9 refer to the following values:
0%, 20%, 30%, 40%....., 100% of the nominal heat output.
In order to adjust a regulation mode, please follow the steps:
1. Press button for as long as the display shows the A1 or A2 symbol.
A1 indicates TEMPERATURE REGULATION MODE.
A2 indicates HEAT OUTPUT REGULATION MODE.
2. In order to adjust the settings, press the
automatically indicated on the display panel.
3. After the required mode has been set, wait until the device has resumed its
normal function in the new mode.
By adjusting the mode, the device deletes any settings remembered by the timer so
far.
The design of the device (PTC heating element) protects the user from harm
(burning) due to over-heating. By limiting the temperature of the radiator to 60°C
automatically, regardless of its current setting (provided that heat output of the
heating element has been correctly matched with the heat output of the radiator).
SETTING OF THE CURRENT TIME
It is necessary to set the current time on the controller, in order to use the 24-hr
timer. To switch the device to the time programming mode, press both arrows (

and ) at the same time. The hour field will start flashing on the display panel – it
can be adjusted as required by pressing the arrow buttons. Press
in order to confirm and switch into minute field. Hour and minute values can be
