Functionality and use of device (model SKT 1)
Electric heating element SKT 1 has been designed both to heat the interior and to
dry clothes or towels. The device has a straight-forward regulation system which
allows two settings; a half or full nominal heating output.
FRONT VIEW (keyboard and signal diodes)
Button will turn the device on and off. After turning the device off and
switching it back on again, the device will operate with the same settings as before
it was turned off (this also applies to temporary shortage of power supply or
instances where the device is being temporarily controlled by using external timer).
Button is used to set HALF of the heating output. After turning it on, a yellow
diode in the top left corner will light up. The device will function by turning itself on
and off regularly every 7 seconds. Due to this regulation, the average heat output in
this mode will equal only half of the nominal heat output, and temperature of the
radiator will be maintained on a medium level.
Button is used to set the FULL heating output. The device operates
continuously with its full output which is signalled by red diodes in the bottom right
corner.
Construction of the device (PTC heating element) protects against burning by
restricting the temperature of the radiator to 60°C, regardless of its current setting,
(provided that the heat output of the heating element has been properly matched
with the heat output of the radiator).
ANTI-FREEZE FUNCTION (anti-freeze protection)
If the device is off and the temperature surrounding temperature sensor drops to
below 6°C, the device will turn on automatically in order to protect the heating
medium from freezing. When the temperature is too low, this will be indicated by
flashing of the yellow diode.
FIL-PILOTE INTERFACE
Selected versions of the SKT 1 device are equipped with a FIL PILOTE interface
which enables remote heating control through an external controller which conforms
with FIL PILOTE standards.
