● Install the grass catcher box. (
● Stop the engine and allow it to come to
a standstill.
● Disengage the mowing deck. (
● Do not actuate the brake pedal or
release the parking brake.
● Turn the ignition key to the "start
engine" position. ( 8.1)
The engine cannot be started when the
brake switch is functioning correctly.
Checking the mowing deck switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat.
● Press the brake pedal to the stop and
hold. ( 8.9)
● Engage the mowing deck. (
● Turn the ignition key to the "start
engine" position. ( 8.1)
The engine cannot be started when the
mowing deck switch is functioning
correctly.
Checking the seat switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat.
● Start the engine and allow it to run at
maximum speed. ( 12.2), (
● Engage the mowing deck. (
● Relieve the weight on the driver's seat
by standing up slowly and carefully. Do
not dismount!
The engine will be switched off if the
seat switch is functioning.
Checking the grass catcher box switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat.

grass catcher box upwards using the
grass catcher box emptying lever.

The engine will be switched off and the
mowing deck disengaged if the grass
catcher box switch is functioning.
Checking the reverse mowing safety
switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat – do not press
the reverse mowing safety switch.
● Start the engine (
run at maximum speed. (

● Select reverse driving direction and
drive off. (
If the reverse mowing safety switch is
functioning, the mowing deck will be
disengaged after 1 second.

14.5 Removing the discharge chute

For better cleaning of the discharge chute,

Remove discharge chute (2).
Avoid damage to the machine!
Reinstall the discharge chute
immediately after cleaning so that
this is not forgotten.

14.6 Installing the discharge chute

Avoid damage to the machine!
When pushing in, ensure that the
discharge chute fits over the
discharge opening of the mowing
deck on all sides.
Note
When cleaning the discharge chute
or each time it is removed, also
check the level sensor (grass
catcher box) and clean if
necessary.
● Stop the engine. ( 12.3)
● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Engage the parking brake. (
● Remove the grass catcher box.
