8. For conformation of the VCP
valve and the type of working,
every time the pressure value
for which the valve is calibrat-
ed is exceeded, it will open re-
leasing an air-dust mixture (in
the form of a dust cloud) to the
outside, only during the activa-
tion phase due to overpressure.
The VCP valve is suitable for
use on pressurized or vacuum
containers not subjec ted to
special testing or legislation.
The only function of the valve
is to safeguard containers, fil-
ter and other equipment from
overpres sures or negative
pressure outside the tolerance
limits.
Specific type of valves are re-
quired to safeguard the opera-
tor or the environment impact.
9. Care must be taken to make
sure the material handled inside
the container is not a hazard-
ous substance: according to
standard UNI-EN 626-1 § 3.2,
any c hemic al or biological
agent hazardous for health is
classified as a hazardous sub-
stance, for example substanc-
es or products classified as:
- highly toxic;
- toxic;
- harmful;
- corrosive;
- irritant;
- sensitizing;
- carcinogenic;
- mutagens;
- teratogenic;
- pathogens;
- asphyxiating.
The user/plant technician must
adopt the necessary measures
while using the VCP with haz-
ardous substances to reduce at-
mospheric emissions in accord-
ance with standard UNI-EN 626-
1 Appendix A.2. This situation
occurs with limited frequency,
but the installer/plant technician
must take measures to delimit an
area around which personnel
must not be allowed during pres-
surized loading of the silo.

8.W egen der Ges taltung des
Ventils VCP und wegen der
Betriebsart kommt es jedes Mal,
wenn der Druc kwert über-
s chritten wird, auf den das
Ventil eingestellt worden ist,
zur Ö ffnung des Ventils mit
dem Austritt einer Staub-Luft-
mischung (in Form einer Staub-
wolke) in die Umgebungsluft,
aber nur dann, wenn das Ven-
til wegen Überdruck ausgelöst
wird. Das Ventil VCP eignet
sich nämlich für den Einsatz auf
Silos mit Über- und Unterdruck,
die nicht Abnahmeprüfungen
oder speziellen Gesetzen un-
terliegen.
Das Ventil hat nur die Funktion,
den Silo, die Filter und andere
Einrichtungen vor Überduck
bzw. Unterdruck außerhalb der
zuläs s igen Grenzwerte zu
schützen.
Falls der Bediener gesichert
werden mus s oder die Um-
weltauswirkungen zu wahren
sind, braucht man Ventile spe-
zifischen Typs.
9. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass
das Material, das man verar-
beitet und das im Silo vorhan-
den ist, kein Gefahrstoff ist: Die
Norm UNI-EN 626-1 § 3.2 legt
fest, dass als Gefahrstoff jede
chemisc he oder biologis che
Substanz zu betrachten ist, der
gefährlich für die Gesundheit
ist, wie beispielsweise Sub-
stanzen oder Zubereitungen,
die wie folgt einzustufen sind:
- sehr giftig
- giftig
- gesundheitsschädlich
- ätzend
- reizend
- sensibilisierend
- krebserzeugend
- erbgutverändernd
- fortpflanzungsgefährdend
- krankheitserregend
- lungenlähmend.
Der Anlagebauer/Installateur ist
dazu verpflichtet, dass für den
Gebrauch des VCP mit Gefahr-
stoffen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
getroffen werden, um die Emis-
sionen in die Umwelt gemäß der
Norm UNI-EN 626-1 Anhang A.2
zu reduzieren. Diese Situation
tritt mit beschränkter Frequenz
auf, aber der Anlagenbauer/In-
stallateur muss dafür sorgen,
den Bereich ringsum abzugren-
zen, zu dem der Durchgang für
das Personal während des Be-
ladens des Silos unter Druck
verboten ist.
10. In diesem Handbuch ist an-
gegeben, die ganze Anlage
abzusichern, bevor man Ein-
griffe am Ventil VCP ausführt.
8. Pro přizpůsobení VCP ventilu

- mutagenní činitele
- látky působící vznik vývojových
deformací
- patogeny (organismus schopný
vyvolat onemocnění)
- zádušné látky

zajistit nutná opatření v případě,

zpracování nebezpečných látek,

8.Per la conformazione della val-
vola VCP e per il tipo di funzio-
namento, ogni qual volta si su-
pererà il valore di pressione
per cui la valvola è stata tara-
ta, si avrà una sua apertura
con conseguente fuoriuscita di
miscela aria-polvere (sotto for-
ma di nube polverosa) in am-
biente esterno, solamente nel-
la fase di intervento dovuta a
s ovrapres s ione. La valvola
VCP è infatti idonea per impie-
ghi su contenitori in pressione
o depressione non soggetti a

collaudi o a legislazioni speciali.
La valvola ha solamente la fun-
zione di salvaguardare conte-
nitori, filtri e altre attrezzature
da sovrapressioni o depressio-
ni al di fuori del limite tollerabile.
Qualora si debba salvaguarda-
re l'operatore o l'impatto am-
bientale servono valvole di tipo
specifico.
9.Occorre prestare attenzione,
che il materiale in lavorazione
contenuto nel contenitore, non
sia una sostanza pericolosa:
la norma UNI-EN 626-1 § 3.2
definisce come sostanza peri-
colosa qualsiasi agente chimi-
co o biologico pericoloso per la
salute, per esempio sostanze
o preparati classificati come:
- molto tossici;
- tossici;
- dannosi;
- corrosivi;
- irritanti;
- sensibilizzanti;
- cancerogeni;
- mutageni;
- teratogeni;
- patogeni;
- asfissianti.
E' obbligo dell'utilizzatore/impian-
tista, che per l'utilizzo della VCP
con sostanze pericolose, ven-
gano attuate misure per la ridu-
zione delle emissioni in ambiente
secondo norma UNI-EN 626-1
appendice A.2. Questa situazio-
ne si verifica con frequenze li-
mitate, ma l'installatore / impianti-
sta dovrà provvedere a delimi-
tare un'area intorno alla quale è
interdetto il passaggio del per-
sonale durante il carico in pres-
sione del silo.
10.Nel presente manuale, è indi-
do
cato di mettere in sicurezza l'in-
tero impianto, prima di interve-
nire sulla valvola VCP.
