The course of training:
Each training begins with a 6 minute warm-up phase. (Time display: A6).
In the beginning, the initial load value is applied, so that the circulatory system of the patient can adjust
to the load slowly. The load is then increased according to the set value. If the limit value parameter is
reached before the time for the warm-up phase has passed, the variobike 550/550C switches automati-
cally to the training phase.
When a limit parameter is exceeded, an automatic load control is applied according to the parameter in
the selected program.
Once the training time is over, the recovery phase commences in which the load value is reduced to 0
Watt within two minutes.

During the training course, two curves are displayed on the screen. The fine line is the Heart Rate
Trend, the thick line is the Load Trend. The graphical depiction shows clearly the course of the
training.
The Load Trend shows always the actual load delivered by the patient; in case the patient could not
sustain the load level, this reflects in the load trend.
Abort Training ?
Press control buttons „END". The training is aborted.
The program then switches automatically to the two minute recovery phase, reducing the load
to 0 Watt steadily.
This ensures that the patient's pulse returns to normal slowly and prevents the patient's circula-
tion collapsing due to an abrupt stopping of the load.
