9. Adjustment Possibilities for the Model Car

Once you have familiarized yourself with the driving characteristics of the model, you can proceed to optimizing the
running characteristics of the model.
However, the explanations of the correlation between chassis set-up settings and driving behaviour are very complex
and would go beyond the scope of these instructions. For this reason, we can only show the setting options provided.
For further information we have to refer you to appropriate specialist magazines as well as comprehensive reference
books on this subject.
The settings are always to be carried out in the same manner on both sides (left/right).
Besides different springs for the shock absorbers, damper oils are also available. Their different degrees
of viscosity also influence the behaviour of the springs.
a) Front Axle
• The track rods (1) for the linkage rods serve to set a positive or negative toe.
• The transverse links (2) change the wheel camber during adjustment.
• The shock absorbers can be mounted on the top (3) and bottom (4) attachment points at different positions.
• The shock absorbers allow you to limit the spring path via their knurled screws (5).
