17. Handling

Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
a) General information
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! It contains swallowable
small parts, glass (display), as well as batteries.
The product must not be opened or taken apart (apart from the battery replacement described
in these operating instructions).
There are no serviceable parts inside the product. If you open/take apart the device, the license
(CE) and the guarantee/warranty expires as well.
Even a fall from a low height can damage the product.
b) Weather station
Avoid the following adverse environmental conditions when operating the weather station:
- moistness or too high air humidity
- extreme cold or hot temperatures
- direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as with the proximity of machines or loudspeakers
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room.
Condensation water that forms might destroy the product. Wait until the product has reached
room temperature. This can take several hours!
The installation site should be chosen in a way that the weather station has a firm position and
cannot fall down.
Valuable or scratch-sensitive furniture surfaces should be protected from damage with
suitable covers before you put the weather station on them.
