9. Getting Started


It depends how you get started whether you are using only one outdoor sensor
(one outdoor sensor included in delivery of the radio weather station) or several
(up to three are possible).
Do not put the weather station right next to the outdoor sensor, keep a minimum
distance between the individual devices of approx. 50cm, otherwise the radio
signal will not be recognized properly.
Keep a distance to metal surfaces and other electrical/electronic products or
cables.
In the case of a battery replacement in one of the units (weather station, outdoor
sensor), a new basic resetting must be carried out with all units; (approach as
described in chapter 9. a) or 9. b)).
This is necessary since the outdoor sensor sends a random security code to
the weather station before each operation, in order to reduce interferences
from other sensors.

a) Use of one outdoor sensor

1. First insert the battery into the outdoor sensor.
To do this, pull the battery holder (K) down and pull it out of the outdoor sensor and insert
a CR2032 battery into the battery holder.
The plus pole (marked "+") points towards you (also see illustration on the fold-out page).
Slide the battery holder back into the outdoor sensor, paying attention to the correct
orientation (plus pole pointing towards the back of the device).
2. Insert the batteries in the weather station within 30 minutes of activating the outdoor sensor.
To do this, open the battery compartment (H) on the back of the weather station, insert two
batteries type AAA/micro with correct polarity (note plus/+ and minus/-) into the battery
compartment. All display elements on the weather station will be visible for a short time.
Close the battery compartment again.
The time "0:00" will appear and the "weather girl" symbol.
3. Now the weather station will start to try to get reception for the outdoor sensor, the radio
symbol for the outdoor sensor is flashing.
