14. Handling

Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
a) General information
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! It contains small swallowable small parts, glass
(display), as well as batteries.
The product must not be opened or taken apart (apart from the battery exchange, described in these operating
instructions).
There are no serviceable parts inside the product. If you open/take apart the device, the license (CE) and the
guarantee/warrantee expires as well.
Even a fall from a low height can damage the product.
b) Weather station
Avoid the following adverse environmental condition when operating the weather station:
- wetness or too high air humidity
- extreme hot and cold temperatures
- direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as near machines or loudspeakers
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. Condensation water
that forms might destroy the product. Wait until the product has reached room temperature. This can take several
hours.
The installation site should be chosen in a way that the weather station has a firm position and cannot fall down.
Because of the heavy weight there is a risk of injuries.
Valuable or scratch sensitive furniture surfaces should be protected from damage with suitable covers, before you
put the weather station on them.
c) Outdoor sensor
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a sheltered outdoor area (for example under a roof projection).
Only operate the outdoor sensor with the protective cover put on. Install the outdoor sensor in a way so that it is
positioned vertically/upright with the protective cover attached from the top.
