g) Display for air pressure and air pressure tendency

Switching units for air pressure

On the top right next to the time display you can read the present air pressure with the
correspondingly set unit (inHg, hPa/mBar).
Change between the units "inHg" and "hPa/mBar "as follows:
• Hold the "UNIT" button down on the back until the unit (inHg, hPa/mBar) flashes.
• Select the desired unit with the " " and " " button on the back of the base station.
• Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the "UNIT" button.

Air pressure at sea level/local, altitude

Normally "LOCAL" appears on the left next to the reading display. This indicates that the air
pressure is calculated/displayed for the current altitude.
By pressing the "PRESSURE/ALTITUDE" button briefly, you can switch between the display of
the local air pressure ("LOCAL"), the display for calculating the air pressure at sea level ("SEA
LEVEL") and the altitude set by you.
The air pressure readings which you get from, eg the radio or Internet, are always converted
to sea level. If you get a current local air pressure reading, this can be entered in the base station
as a reference value.
• With the "PRESSURE/ALTITUDE" button you change to the sea level display.
• Press the "PRESSURE/ALTITUDE" button down until the display of air pressure flashes
(hold button down for about 2 seconds).
• You can now set the air pressure reading with the " " and " " buttons on the back of the
base station.
• Confirm the setting by briefly pressing the "PRESSURE/ALTITUDE" button.
By setting the air pressure reading at sea level, the set altitude automatically
changes when you first use the device!
