CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING:
ren. Always switch off (press the "Power" button, the LCD display gets dark) unplug
the appliance from the mains power supply, and remove the decanting bottle,
before moving or cleaning the appliance.
Hygienic cleaning is done via the steps given in the following instructions. Ensure
to protect the housing and power cord against splashing water and moisture. Do
not immerse the housing or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not spill or
drip any liquids on the housing and power cord to avoid risk of fire, electric shock,
and damage. Do not clean the appliance or any of the parts or accessories in an
automatic dishwasher!
Do not use any violence. The decanting bottle is made of fine glass. Always handle
the decanting bottle with special care to avoid damage. Do not poke in the
interior of the decanting bottle to avoid damage to the tube in the centre of the
decanting bottle. With the tube damaged in any way, splinters could get into
your wine, causing severe injuries. At the rim of the oxygen nozzle, there is a black
sealing ring. Ensure not to damage the sealing ring during cleaning. Do not store
wine in the decanting bottle after operation to avoid stubborn residues of sediments
in the decanting bottle. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads (e.g.
metal scouring pads) or any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning the appliance
or any parts of it, to avoid damage to the surfaces. Avoid using dishwater for clea-
ning the interior of the decanting bottle, as this would leave an invisible film of clea-
ning agents,,rinse aid, and aromatic substances on the surfaces of the decanting
bottle detracting from the delicate aromas of your wine.
1. Before cleaning, switch off the appliance by pressing the "Power" button. Then
unplug the appliance from the mains power supply and remove the decanting bottle.
2. Pour out the wine and rinse the decanting bottle thoroughly with clear, warm
water. Then wipe dry the exterior of the decanting bottle. Ensuring that the
decanting bottle will not fall over or fall down, leave the decanting bottle dry
naturally (e.g. on a suitable rack).
Important: We recommend to store the decanting bottle in the foam shipping box
after drying to protect the decanting bottle from any damage.
3. Avoiding spilling any liquid on the housing and/or damaging the sealing ring
at the oxygen nozzle, if required, clean the housing and power cord with a soft,
damp cloth. Polish with a soft, dry cloth.
4. You should clean the external filter at the bottom of the appliance regularly or,
what's better, replace it (see: "Replacing or Cleaning the External Filter").
