The decanting time, selected at the appliance, will be umpteen times the actual
operating time. Therefore, when selecting the highest possible decanting time,
the appliance will run various decanting processes using this setting with the bat-
tery charged only once. However, you should not forget to check the charging
state of the battery and re-charge the battery in time, when planning to perform a
decanting process.
Important: You should prefer battery operation rather than using any type of exten-
sion cord, when using the appliance on a set table.
To re-charge the battery, with the battery installed connect the appliance to the
power supply. The battery will be re-charged even if a decanting process is running.
Note
Even though a high-quality rechargeable battery is used, it may be necessary to
replace the battery at the end of its lifetime (see: "Installing or Replacing the Battery").
When noticing that the battery is exhausted too quickly after charging, and/or an
unusual long charging time is required, you should replace the battery.

MEMORY FUNCTION

After switching off and disconnecting the appliance from the power supply, the
appliance will memorize your last setting of the decanting time. This holds even
when operated without a battery installed. Therefore, there is no need to keep the
appliance connected to any power supply, when it is not in use, and when the bat-
tery is not to be charged.

USEFUL TIPS FOR DECANTING WINE

• Do not clean the decanting bottle in an automatic dishwasher or by using dish-
water. Residues of cleaning agents, rinse aids, and aromatic substances would
cover the glass surfaces of the decanting bottle by an invisible film and influence
the aromas and taste of the wine. It is much better to rinse the decanting bottle
with clear warm water only.
