IMPORTANT:
It is crucial to rinse the frothing rod immediately after each usage to
avoid the build-up of stubborn residues on the surfaces, because this would decrease
the performance of the appliance considerably and could cause unpleasant odours
and a stale taste.
1. Remove the lid and take out the frothing rod. Completely empty the milk jug and
rinse the milk jug, lid and frothing rod thoroughly with clear tap water.
2. Fill the milk jug up to the MIN marking with clear water and add a little drop of
dish-washing liquid. Wipe dry the exterior of the milk jug. Insert the frothing rod
and close the milk jug with the lid. Place the milk jug onto the power base.
3. Press the Chocolate button to run a complete heating cycle. Remove the milk jug
from the power base and remove lid and frothing rod.
NOTE: If required, you may remove the silicone seal of the lid for cleaning.
4. Using a soft nylon brush, clean the milk jug and lid with warm dishwater. For this,
you may use the warm solution within the milk jug.
5. Rinse all parts thoroughly with clear tap water.
TIP: With stubborn residues on the frothing rod, clean the frothing rod as described
in the following section 'Removing Stubborn Residues from the Frothing Rod'.
NOTE: You may clean the milk jug, lid and frothing rod in an automatic dishwasher.
For this, place the lid and frothing rod on the upper rack.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the frothing rod before cleaning in the automatic
dishwasher, to avoid that small parts get damaged or lost during the cleaning pro-
cess.
