ance to avoid overheating and damage of the air system.
Wipe off spilled liquids immediately. Do not pour or spill any liquids on or under the
housing of the appliance. If any liquid is spilled on the appliance or liquid is accu-
mulating under the appliance, immediately switch OFF (press the "Power" button)
and unplug the appliance. Thereafter, clean the appliance according to the instruc-
tions in chapter "Care and Cleaning". In this case, also extremely carefully check
the decanting bottle for any damage, before drinking the wine.
Always keep the working space dry and clean. Do not let any liquids run on or under
the appliance. Do not place clothes or similar materials on or under the appliance
during operation. Do not block the air intake opening at the bottom of the appliance
to avoid risk of overheating, fire, and electric shock.
Although the appliance will filter the air sucked in, before aerating the wine, always
keep the working space clean, dry, and free of dust, smoke (e.g. by candles or
cigarettes), and foreign odours to help the air system of the appliance.
Always switch off (press the "Power" button), unplug the appliance, and remove the
decanting bottle, before cleaning or moving the appliance.
1. For operation, place the housing of the appliance on an appropriate, level, and
stable surface. To help the filter system of the appliance, the environment of the
appliance should be free of dust, fluff, smoke, and corrosive and/or harmful
vapours, and foreign odours.
Note
For operation on a table laid festively, we recommend to place the appliance on
a sufficiently large, flat tray. With the designated battery installed correctly in the
battery compartment, you may operate the appliance on battery (see: "Installing
or Replacing the Battery"). On battery operation, there is no need to connect the
appliance to your mains power supply. In time, ensure that the battery will be
charged sufficiently (see: "Charging the Battery").
2. Pour 150-750 ml of wine into the decanting bottle.
3. Only if you wish to operate the appliance via your mains power supply, insert
the small plug of the power cord into the socket at the rear of the appliance.
Then connect the power plug to a sufficient mains power supply (see: "Important
Safeguards for Electrical Appliances"). To indicate that the appliance is live, the
LCD display illuminates for approx. 5 seconds and then goes out again.
4. Place the filled decanting bottle in the well on top of the appliance.
5. Press the power button to switch on the appliance. The LCD display illuminates.
After approx. 5 seconds. the recently set value for the natural decanting time
