Entering the Repeater Mode

To enter Repeater Mode, use one of the following ways:
• From the home screen, select Optns → Repeater Mode.
• From the home screen, press MENU key. Select → Networks → Repeater Mode.

Setting Monitor Option

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press Optns.
2 Press Monitor.
3 Select one of the following:
• Off — Your radio works as a repeater only, no operation is available.
• Receive Only — Allows you to listen.
• Receive&Transmit — Allows you to listen and transmit by pressing PTT.

Encryption in the Repeater Mode

While in the Repeater Mode, the radio supports Air Encryption and is able to repeat encrypted calls and messages.
If SCK keys installed on the radio are invalid:
• The radio transfers calls and messages without deciphering them (provided that the encryption level is not the
highest).
• The LED indicator turns orange.
• On pressing the PTT button, Channel Busy or DMSCK is Invalid message appears.
• You cannot make any call.

Gateway Mode

The Gateway Mode allows your radio to work as a gateway and thus provide connectivity among radios operating in
DMO and TMO Modes.
