Further steps
• Assign the announcements to the various call types. You can assign the announcements
either via the menu on the display (in answer.machine > functions > TAM
announcem. > ...) or via the PC software included in the package (recommended; see
page 52).
Connecting the Telephone to a PC and Installing the USB Driver
(only COMfortel 2600)
If you install the USB driver, you will be able to configure the telephone from the USB port on
a PC.
Note: You can also configure the telephone using a PC that is connected to the PBX
over a PC port (see the instructions of the PBX).
Requirements
• A PC meeting the system requirements (see chapter Important Information > System
Requirements,
• Installation file (setup.exe) stored on a storage medium (PC)
• The PC must be located near the telephone.
Important: The length of the USB cable used for connecting may be a maximum of 3 m
(like the cable included in the package).
Note: The steps below describe how to configure the settings on the Windows 7/8/8.1
operating system. If you are using another operating system, please refer to the docu-
mentation for your operating system.
