Installing the Configuration Software COMfortel Set

Requirements
– A PC meeting the system requirements (see chapter Important Information
> System Requirements, page 39).
– Installation file (comftelset.exe) stored on a storage medium (PC)
– Active connection of the PC to a PC-port on the PBX (see the instructions
of the PBX)
Note: You can find the required installation file on the Internet (see
www.auerswald.de/service).
1.
Start the installation file (comftelset.exe) on the PC.
2.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: Only COMfortel 1400: During the installation of the COMfortel Set
configuration software, standard announcements for different answering
machine functions are copied to the PC in three different languages (Ger-
man, English and Italian). These are announcements for call acceptance
STANDARD.wav, the announcement for remote access REMOTE.wav and
the announcement for message forwarding FORWARD.wav.
Configuring the Telephone and Answering Machine (only COM-
fortel 1400) using a PC
Requirements
– COMfortel Set configuration software, version 3.10.0 or higher
– Only COMfortel 1400: Answering machine put into operation

Start the COMfortel Set configuration software.
2.
Successively click Options > Interface. Select the port you want to use (for
example, IP network for connecting the PC to the PBX over the local net-
work).
3.
Open the telephone configuration. For this, successively click Open > Tele-
phone.
Note: If there are several telephones, select the corresponding telephone
in the Connection options dialogue.
